Taking it Slow for People and Planet
To me, slow skincare means growing an awareness and connected with the story behind the products we use from seed to skin. Being curious about the ingredient list and how it has been made for any skincare product is a radical act of self-keeping that goes beyond buying them solely on what it may look, smell, feel like. Our skin is so absorbent and a direct reflection of our internal landscape of Self. I aim to encourage and educate my clients on how a product came to be as well as noticing the textures and aromatics. My aim with this method is to allow you to connect to the practice of applying your skincare to how it makes you feel and in turn, how this benefits people and planet.
I have been working with slow skincare for the past 17 years and I have curated a consciously chosen selection of products to enhance my treatments and elevate my client experience consciously and in a considered way.
Currently sharing intentional and necessary formulations in my treatment room from my own hand crafted aromatic skincare; all made with certified organic ingredients.
I also support your skin using beautiful offerings from The Organic Alchemist, Earth Breath Honey, Husk and Seed and Bee Cosmetics.
I offer my own custom blended facial oils for clients wanting something to support them in a season or a cycle, or to soothe particular allergies or skin challenges creating something unique from me to you.
Every ingredient I use is approved by the Soil Association. This certified body aims to set standards that go beyond the legal minimum for practices in farming that observe animal welfare, the environment and human health.
This stamp of approval helps to drive best practices in ingredients used in skincare in the UK and internationally. It’s the bare minimum we should expect in our skincare in today’s economy and environment but sadly not a common thing.
Wylde skincare holds this standard as a core value and believes that you will feel the difference when you choose to treat your skin this way.
